De gemeente Harlingen bestaat uit de historische havenstad Harlingen en uit de twee dorpen Midlum en Wijnaldum, en telt in totaal 15.823 inwoners (01-01-2010). Van welke kant u de stad ook nadert, altijd is het markante silhouet met de stadstorens van verre te zien. Harlingen: midden in de ruimte van zee, land en lucht.
